Actress Brie Larson sells her Mid-century LA home

Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson sold her Mid-century modern home in Los Angeles last week for $US2.17 million, less than what she paid for it in 2016, according to records.

The property listed in April for $US2.34 million before taking a series of price cuts over the next few months and ultimately selling for $US2.17 million, according to Redfin.

Property records show that Larson purchased the house through a trust three years ago for $US2.25 million.

Tori Horowitz of Compass had the listing. Horowitz did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom house was completed in 1952.

Larson, 29, won an Academy Award in 2015 for her leading role in Room. She recently starred in Captain Marvel and Avengers: End Game as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel.

Larson could not be reached for comment.

Mansion Global reported in June that the Los Angeles luxury market was softening due to an oversupply of inventory for buyers.
