The chance to help needy children in Papua New Guinea has led a couple of real agents to support a charity bicycle ride an AFL superstar is also getting behind.

Eview Universita Spring estate agents hope to raise $10,000 towards the Ride for Change which took off from Sydney to Seaford on May 20.

AFL star Gary Ablett has also joined in, sponsoring dollar-for-dollar one of the 14 cyclists taking part in the 1000km challenge. The amateur cyclists hope to ride for seven days and raise $50,000.

Michael Spring and Jamie Universita are selling 65 Southgateway, Langwarrin on behalf of the owner, with price hopes of $800,000-$860,000 for the four-bedroom home.

“The commissions from the sale of this property are being donated to this cause,” Eview Group director Arthur Proios said.

“We expect the property to sell well because it is a great family home and comes with development potential.”

The vendor is connected with a Seaford church’s Gateway Children’s Fund, which runs a school in Papua New Guinea’s capital city Port Moresby.

The charity helps 250 children receive free education, health care, nutrition and a chance to break the cycle of poverty in their communities.

High profile supporters include Ablett, who said: “I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the foundation over the years and seeing first-hand the direct impact in the lives of these children living in Port Moresby.”

Gateway Children’s Fund chief executive Rick Paynter said: “We are so thankful because we know the impact of this extraordinary effort will be felt for a long time, in the lives of our children, their parents and teachers.”

The double-storey Southgateway house is on a large 1339sq m block with development potential for dual occupancy or four units.

The house is well maintained and spacious with four bedrooms, multiple living areas, garage with a mezzanine level, outdoor entertainment area, courtyard with a spa and landscaped gardens.
