As Deloitte global chief marketing officer David Redhill sells in Vaucluse, Macquarie banker David Johnson lists in Dover Heights
You know something’s afoot when bankers have the confidence to offload their homes — just as Deloitte global chief marketing man David Redhill has sold in Vaucluse, a Macquarie banker has listed his Dover Heights palace.
Michael Johnson, the Head of International Distribution for Macquarie Securities, has listed his luxury four-bedroom, two-bathroom home with double garage at 39B Hardy St with Ray White Double Bay guns Warren Ginsberg and Adam Reichman.
Described as a “luxuriously appointed new family masterpiece” in its fresh realestate.com.au listing, the pair are quoting a range of $2.8 million to $3.05 million ahead of the July 4 auction.

Inquiry up for prestige apartments
And since the home was only completed a year ago and comes with a level lawn and pool, no doubt they’ll achieve that — easily — in the improved market conditions following the re-election of the Morrison Government.
Mr Redhill and his wife, Amanda, are celebrating the sale of their Vaucluse home, six days before its scheduled auction through Pillinger principal Brad Pillinger and Chantal Hooper.
That five bedroom home at 3 Oceanview Ave had a $3.9 million price guide and the property was launched to market in the wave of optimism that followed the election.
Ms Hooper told the Wentworth Courier at the time: “We only launched this on Wednesday and we’ve had strong interest and inquiry.”
The sold sticker went up this morning, the day after the property appeared as the Wentworth Courier House of the Week and two days after our online story indicating the home seemed good value in the exclusive suburb.
Although neither agent could comment on the sale price due to a confidentiality agreement, it’s likely it was considerably above the price guide six days out from the scheduled auction.
Mr Johnson’s Dover Heights home is likely to appeal to everyone from young families through to downsizers with its indoor and outdoor living areas and practical three-level layout.
There is ample room and separation between the family areas, sleeping and entertainment zones.
