Australian basketballer Aron Baynes selling his Boston house after trade to Phoenix Suns
NBA champion Aron Baynes is gearing up to go head-to-head with Team USA on home soil ahead of the FIBA World Cup — but back in the States, he’s taking on a different game.
The Aussie basketball star and former Boston Celtic was traded to the Phoenix Suns in the off season, and is now selling his Massachusetts house for $AUD 2.49 million ($USD 1.69 million.

The newly-renovated home at 18 Walnut Park in Newtown is smart-wired, and includes 12-foot ceilings and a chef’s kitchen.
The 32-year-old bought the townhouse for $US 1.59 million in May 2018.
The Italianate structure is known as the Hubbard-Noys-Hartwell House and Barn and registered as a historic landmark.
A local developer fully restored, renovated, and converted the building before selling one of the units to the Aussie basketballer.
The four-bedroom home features an open floor plan, which includes a high-end kitchen with Thermador appliances, a living area with a gas fireplace, and ample windows throughout.

The master suite comes with a luxurious bathroom, as well as a heated floor.
Other notable details include built-in shelves and trim, custom storage throughout, remotely-controlled blinds, and surround-sound speakers.
The home also includes a private patio and deck, and a fenced backyard.
The attached two-car garage has custom flooring, which Baynes used for working out.
The home’s location was likely a selling point for the former Celtic, who had signed a two-year contract with the team in 2017.
The home is about 10 minutes away from the team’s practice facility, as well as a 20-minute drive to downtown Boston’s TD Garden.
The New Zealand native moved to Australia when we was three-years old, and played for Washington State University before starting his professional career in Europe.
In 2013, he joined the San Antonio Spurs and won an NBA championship with the team in 2014.
Baynes also played for the Detroit Pistons before joining the Celtics in 2017.
