BRISBANE real estate analyst Abbie Chatfield knows hot property when she sees it — and she is bringing her A-game to The Bachelor mansion.

But the 23-year-old has so far been unlucky in love, and has moved from her Brisbane office to The Bachelor mansion in the hope of finding her match in Matt Agnew.

One of 26 remaining women vying for the astrophysicists’ heart, Abbie dropped a clanger during their first meeting at Bach-central.

“What do you do?” the bubbly blonde asked him.

“I’m an astrophysicist,” he replied.

“OK, I’m a Gemini,” she said.

Awkward!

For the record, the Bach is a Leo, but that didn’t stop the cringeworth moment from going viral.

Apparently she was joking, and was just trying to “wind me up”, according to Agnew.

Abbie told News Corp Australia that she was mortified after the clip went viral, but everyone who was on set knew it was a joke.

“If I had actually mistaken his job for an astrologer then I would have been more embarrassed, but I know what happened, Matt knows what happened, the crew knows what happened, so it’s all good,” she said.

Regardless, Abbie the number cruncher made an impression, and is already considered an early favourite in the love stakes, snaring fourth spot at $6 odds on Sportsbet.

But when she isn’t dressed to the nines trying to woo the heart of a hunk, Abbie is the sales and marketing co-ordinator for CBRE in Brisbane.

Before that she was an analyst at Savills, a global real estate firm, and an analyst at Ray White Hotels, also based in Brisbane.

She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor degree in property economics in 2018, according to LinkedIn.

In matters of the heart, her perfect man “would be ambitious, intelligent, curious about life, empathetic and always up for a laugh”.

Wine seems to be the common ingredient in her idea of a perfect date, with the tipple seemingly a must-have at a drive-in movie or fish and chips on the beach.

She has also tried on a wedding dress once or twice, documenting the moment on Instagram. Take note, single fellas!

Also competing for Agnew’s heart are fellow Brisvegans Kristen Czyszek, 24 and Georgie Powell, 32, and Isabelle Davies, 29, and Nichole Wood, 25, both from the Gold Coast.

Kristen, who has an interest (possibly an obsession) with China, speaks almost entirely in Mandarin during episode one of the show, which aired last night.

She hopes to own her own empire and admits her friends sometimes call her “China girl”.

Isabelle is a cosmetic nurse, and a self-confessed “whingeing Pommie”, while Isabelle is a pilates instructor, who didn’t waste any time showing Bachie some horizontal moves.

Gold Coast cafe manager Nichole is “outgoing with no filter”, and is already shaping up as one of this year’s villains.

She arrives on a motorbike as she tells viewers how she is “obviously not the ugliest person you have ever seen”.

“Just the other day I had four guys chasing me down — they were in a car, filming me on their Snapchat,” she says.

“He’s going to like me. I don’t have to fight for it — done.”

Well okay then.

At least this year’s clinger is from NSW.

The Bachelor Australia continues tonight at 7.30pm on Ten
