THE owners of a Portarlington property have pocketed $1.125 million after an approach from a buyer looking for a house in their street.

Neville Richards, St Leonards agent Luke Campbell facilitated the off-market sale of 8 Keith Court to a couple from Bendigo.

Mr Campbell said the buyers had looked at the house next door, No. 6, which his agency has listed for sale, and fell in love with the panoramic bay views the location offered.

“We had another property in the street that was not going to suit their needs,” he said.

So his agency put out some feelers and found the vendors, who bought the three-bedroom house two years ago for $920,000, were happy to sell.

“They have decided to move on and downsize,” Mr Campbell said.

The “big views” over Portarlington and the bay are the biggest asset of the 657sq m property in one of Portarlington’s premium streets.

14-16 Sand Court, Indented Head sold for $1.33 million in another off market transaction.

Mr Campbell said the sale followed another big off market transaction at 14-16 Sand Close, Indented Head.

The impressive family entertainer, designed around a central atrium, sold for $1.33 million in March.
