The Aspendale 250 by Orbit Homes brings the beach a little closer to home with a single-level design heavily influenced by coastal living.

Orbit Homes colour consultant Priscilla De Luca said the home combined popular mediums, including timber and stone, to produce a natural feel that was immediately calming.

“The inspiration for the materials, finishes and interior decoration was to create a fresh beach-house vibe with a colour palette that is predominantly soft chalky whites and warm greys,” Ms De Luca explained. “It’s a gentle colour scheme that provides the perfect relaxed environment.”

The soft colour palette invokes a beach-house vibe.

The fresh theme carries into the family bathroom.

Suited to first- and second-home buyers, the home features two separate living areas, which families would especially appreciate having, she said.

Orbit Homes product development manager Ian Pumpa said the front sitting room, which, as displayed, features a cosy gas fireplace and white plantation shutters, made an ideal reception room.

“It allows visitors to come to your home and not have to go beyond the entry area, which is perfect for maintaining privacy,” Mr Pumpa said.

Ideal for entertaining guests: the front sitting room.

The house opens up towards the rear, in spacious modern style, to form the core family hub and an inviting domain for entertaining.

There are sliding doors off the family room to the covered alfresco area, so you can expand your living and entertaining outside.

“The alfresco creates a great backdrop to the indoor spaces and leads the eye beyond the rear wall of the house, making the space feel enormous,” Mr Pumpa said.

The dual living areas are sufficiently spaced to provide greater flexibility in how these rooms are used, as well as limiting noise transfer between them.

The kitchen conveniently adjoins the family room and meals area. As displayed, it features stone benches (including an 80mm stone top on the central island), a large walk-in pantry, and overhead timber cabinetry that is a warm contrast to the under-bench white joinery.

“The uninterrupted island bench, rustic white wall tiles and undermount sink all work in perfect harmony,” Ms De Luca said.

Stone benches add a luxurious touch.

A walk-in pantry is a welcome inclusion.

The main bedroom is zoned at the front of the home, while three additional bedrooms, a bathroom and a powder room can be found in a separate wing to the rear.

“Buyers will absolutely love the (dual) walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom which leads to the ensuite,” Ms De Luca said.

The Aspendale 250 comes in a range of facades, with the Kobe displayed at Strathtulloh.
