The Oriel Castle Hill is a boutique project comprising of just 78 apartments close to the new Sydney Metro Northwest

Buyers wanting to inspect the first apartment complex to be approved in Castle Hill’s Showground Rd precinct can do so without having to meet an agent on site.

The Oriel, a 78-unit development to be built in Dawes Ave, offers an after-hours self tour display unit — the only one of its kind in Australia.

Apartment hunters must provide photo identification before being given a security code to access the exhibition property which also includes full details on everything from flooring to kitchen fittings.

The display unit has been created to be accessed 24 hours so potential buyers can purchase outside of normal operating hours.

A security guard is posted at the front of the building, while every angle inside is covered by CCTV cameras. The display unit, located at 91 Cecil Ave, is designed to allow those too busy to make conventional inspection times to come at their leisure even late at night.

Buyers can take their own self-guided tour

“They are given a half-hour slot to look at the property exclusively, no other buyers will come in at that time,” said agent Matt Wolfe from Century 21 Castle Hill.

“Basically buyers can wander around at their own pace and discretion on their own self tour before letting themselves out.”

The seven storey complex, to be located 350m from the Showground Metro Station, will feature beautiful landscaped gardens with hardwood decking, a communal indoor/outdoor pool and entertaining area featuring a barbecue with teppanyaki grill.

Apartments range in price from $645,000 to $1.295m and include one, two and three bedroom configurations. Each will include plumbed French door refrigerators, combination washer/dryers, pyrolytic oven, induction cooktops and dishwashers. The majority will have two car spaces.

The development will also include a lap pool

Mr Wolfe said the hi-tech display unit won’t be putting real estate agents out of a job.

“It is supplementary, this will pick up people that due to their lifestyle can’t get there at a time even for an agent who works late at night,” he said.

“If they’re out doing their late night shopping and decide they want to come by and have a look then they can book it in and do that. We can follow up with more detailed information — it really comes down to logistics.”

Demolition has already commenced on the site with construction due to commence early next year. Residents are expected to move in by March/April 2021.
