Buyers snap up new northern suburbs waterside blocks
A NEW land release in Hobart’s northern suburbs has hit the ground running with stage one sold out before it officially hit the market.
Knight Frank sales consultant Warren Lashmar said the level of inquiry had been “extraordinary”.
“The need for something like this in the northern suburbs is crystal clear,” he said.
“My phone has not stopped ringing.”
Land sizes at Whitestone Point range from 411sqm to 938sqm and prices start from $156,000 up to $245,000 in stage two.
As well as the 213 residential blocks, there are plans for open green spaces and commercial operations such as a boutique supermarket.
Mr Auld said Whitestone Point was one of the most significant subdivisions in Hobart’s northern suburbs in the past 15 years.
“It’s been proven by the fact that people are chasing us down to inquire about them,” he said.
“And you can understand why. These are fantastic, elevated blocks with water and mountain views and all day sunshine at a fantastic price.”
Mr Lashmar was heavily involved with the Springfarm development in Kingston.
He said the high level of hype in the community for Whitestone Point felt very similar to the Kingston land release.
Years ago the Whitestone Point site was owned by Gunns Ltd.
