A couple from the north shore ended up winning the auction, with bidding kicking off at $1.79 million and increasing in increments of $20,000 and $10,000.

The property has a large living room, dining area, ornate mantles and picture rails.

It was sold by Belle Property agents Robert Clarke and Michael Hallit.

“This property was attractive for its location and street appeal,” Mr Hallit said.

“With four registered parties, it is testimony that quality homes are still attracting buyer attention.”

The home is full of potential — or could be lived in as is.

There were 30 people in attendance, with 10 contracts issued and 85 groups through the inspections.

The home also has one parking space as well as 233sqm of land.
