BUYERS making the move across the bay from the Mornington Peninsula have found their ideal downsizer close to Geelong’s waterfront.

They paid $1.05 million for an updated red brick character house at 8 Vincent St, Geelong, wrapping up the sale ahead of its planned auction.

The leafy location is regarded by some to be one of the city’s most beautiful streets and is walking distance to the CBD, train station and bay.

Whitford, Newtown agent Heidi Trempel said the neighbourhood was a magnet for downsizers.

The leafy streetscape is visible from the loungeroom.

“The buyers loved the tree-lined streetscape and the location to the CBD,” Ms Trempel said.

“This little pocket is particularly popular with downsizers.

“The house was perfect for them being single level, low maintenance and renovated.”
