Agent William Brush from LJ Hooker Dural said the five-bedroom single-level residence was only open to private inspections and sold within days of being listed.
“It is an awesome location being one of the closest pockets of Dural to the metropolitan area,” he said.
“I think the owners had mentally prepared themselves that it might take a bit longer (to sell) as there are not as many buyers in this price point but they were very happy with the result and the time period.”
The country style residence, by Felton Homes, is located at the end of a private driveway just off a cul-de-sac. It offers formal living and dining plus an open planned kitchen, meals and family area.
It also has a separate studio/games area with wet bar which could also be used as an in-law’s retreat or home office. There are four fully fenced horse paddocks, two stables with yards and a tack room.
The buyer, who had been acreage-hunting for some time, fell in love with the property which “ticked all their boxes’.
“It is very private — you don’t have any neighbours that you can see from the property, which is something the buyer really loved,” Mr Brush said.
“Inside it has real character with features such as its ornate cornices which separates it from the more modern homes in the suburb.”
According to CoreLogic RP Data, the property last sold for $2.379 million in August 2009. The full sale price has not yet been disclosed.
