Family ties and attractive outdoor space lure interstate buyers to Ocean Grove
A CUSTOM-designed courtyard house in Ocean Grove’s exclusive Yellow Gums estate has sold before auction to interstate buyers for $1.3 million.
A couple relocating from South Australia to be closer to their grandkids snapped up the sprawling U-shaped home at 11-13 Goandra Drive.
The three-bedroom, two bathroom house with one living area delivers garden views from almost every room.

RT Edgar, Ocean Grove agent Chris Schumann said the buyers were looking for space for their younger relatives to run around and the 2234sq m block fit the bill.
He said they had recently missed out on another large property closer to beach in Ocean Grove.
“When we showed them this one they thought it was really better, they wanted a flat block, it’s great for the grandkids to run around,” Mr Schumann said.
The three wings of the house are designed around a central courtyard with a custom built pond and a water fountain sourced from India.
“It was a beautiful home and the way it was built in a U-shape around the courtyard from every room you really looked at the aspect of the courtyard and it added privacy to the home,” Mr Schumann said.
The soaring central hall has a gallery-like quality and delivers you to a central open-plan kitchen, dining and living area.
The west wing is home to two bedrooms, one of which could be a sitting room, a bathroom with a spa bath and a powder room.
On the eastern side is the main bedroom suite, a compact study and double garage with a workshop.
