Gargantuan Wyong Creek estate for sale could set Central Coast record
A once in a lifetime opportunity has arisen with the listing of Tawonga Stud, an enormous 108ha retreat in the Yarramalong Valley described as ‘one of Australia’s finest country estates’.
Set among rolling green hills with dams and billabongs, the property includes seven titles, three separate dwellings and is currently a black Angus cattle farm run by vendor Judy Faulkner and her daughter Belinda.
Purchasing the property over 20 years ago, Ms Faulkner and her then husband had been living in Hong Kong, so the move was about the biggest treechange imaginable.
“It was a big change, but I did grow up in the country. My father was a market gardener,” Ms Faulkner said.
Over the years the main house has been totally renovated, with a guesthouse built beside it. There is also a managers cottage where Belinda currently resides.
Barns, chook pens, duck pens, stables and a shed have been added and some land was cleared to put up fences and paddocks.
Poised within expansive manicured grounds sits the main homestead, surrounded in charming white fencing.

With quality fixtures and fittings throughout, highlights include a country-style kitchen with white panelled cabinetry and a huge gas cooktop, an entertaining terrace overlooking a sparkling swimming pool and large temperature controlled wine cellar.
Ms Faulkner said that the two-bedroom guesthouse next door had been perfect for guests.
And what a place for lucky friends to retreat to for some fresh country air. Some have even arrived at the property via a less traditional mode of transportation.
“There is a perfect flat spot for helicopters – we’ve even mowed in a little helipad. You have to time it perfectly so there’s no cattle around,” Ms Faulkner said.
For such an enormous and picturesque acreage, naming a “favourite place” was difficult for the owner, but she said that spending time on her Gator vehicle had opened everything up for her.
“It’s really funny, when we first came here and it was my birthday, I wanted diamonds but my husband at the time bought me a Gator and I just love it – I’ve found so many little hidden pockets of the property,” she said.

“My favourite thing to do is drive up the hill and watch the sunset. Although sitting at my fireplace in winter is also beautiful. It will be sad to leave the stud, a lot of love has gone into it. It’s time to move on though – Belinda and I are looking for something a big bigger up north.”
The one-of-kind property at 109 Stinsons Lane, Wyong Creek has a price guide of $6 million and if sold, will be the biggest sale of the year on the Central Coast.
Tawonga Stud is for sale with Scott Wall and Shaun Coffey from Capital One Wyong.
