Gold Coast mansion hits market with an asking price of almost $14 million

The Broadbeach Waters mansion at 255 Monaco St has been listed for almost $14 million.

A GOLD Coast mega-mansion that set a record when it sold for $11 million almost three years ago has hit the market again, this time with a much more extravagant asking price.

The luxurious Broadbeach Waters residence on Monaco St has been listed with a $13.75 million price tag.

It belongs to businessman David Fitch and his wife Rachel who splashed millions on the sprawling estate in December 2016, setting a record price for the street.

It has been renovated over the past few years.

It has a string of luxury features.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom house is on a sprawling 3296sq m estate that occupies four blocks and has 43m of water frontage.

Luxure The Property People principal Sonja Smith, who is marketing the house, said it was in an incredible position on one of the Coast’s best streets.

“It’s definitely up there with being one of the most desirable locations,” she said.

“The house itself, it’s got everything that you could possibly want from luxury living.

“It’s like a small hotel.”

The Fitch’s paid $11 million for the house almost three years ago.

The pool and outdoor entertainment area are among its standout features.

She said renovations had been undertaken over the years to refresh the property’s style.

It is characterised by soaring ceilings and wide windows that frame water views while high end fixtures and natural materials give it an sense of sophistication.

A 17m resort-style pool, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, outdoor entertainment area with built-in kitchen and wine cellar are among its standout features.

The Fitch’s have listed their home a couple of months after snapping up a Hamptons-style property at Southport for $7 million.
