Jason Donovan’s old Toorak mansion notches sale
A Toorak mansion built from the bones of former Neighbours star Jason Donovan’s home has notched a speedy sale.
It took just two weeks for 1 Torresdale Court to sell for an undisclosed price within its $8.2-$9 million price tag.
The exclusive address was previously home to 1980s heart-throb Donovan, his wife, former stage manager Angela Malloch and their two children, Jemma and Zac.

Mr Chiminello said it now looked “completely different” to when the actor lived there between 2001 and 2009, before moving to London.
“There are probably five or six walls that still remain from the original Donovan house, but almost every element is brand new,” Mr Chiminello said.
“It’s breathtaking in every way and there’s a timeless elegance to it.”
Three buyers had shown interest in the Christopher Doyle design and a local family made an offer compelling enough to end the campaign, he added.
It sold well above the $2.75 million that Donovan earned for the block a decade ago.
The five-bedroom English Tudor-style residence includes a large modern kitchen, study, media room and children’s retreat.
Landscape designer Paul Bangay created the manicured gardens, which have a bluestone terrace and heated lap pool at the rear.
Donovan’s old mansion was surrounded by large hedges and had a security gate for plenty of privacy.
It was a few steps up from his old two-bedroom pad at 46 Gibdon St in Burnley, where he lived while a Ramsay St favourite.
It’s understood his on-and-off-screen lover Kylie Minogue was a regular visitor to the Burnley house and fans of the couple would sneak around the back for a stickybeak.
The brick home sold for $970,000 late last year.
