Jim Belushi re-lists California mansion for $US27.9M
Actor and comedian Jim Belushi has re-listed his Mediterranean-style Los Angeles mansion, and this time it comes with a $US27.9 million price tag.
The Brentwood property recently hit the market after being on hiatus since last November, when it was asking $US29.9 million, listing records show.
But Belushi, 64, has been trying to part with the home since 2017, when he first listed it complete with an additional parcel not included in this sale, for $US38.5 million.
He bought the property in 2007 for $US8.3 million using a trust, public records show. He tore down the 1950s house that was formerly on the property and built this home in 2007, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The mansion, which spans over 1300sqm, has six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and a wine room, according to the listing with Elisabeth Halsted of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
“This is a jewel of a home, filled with rare details from all over the world,” Halsted told Mansion Global in an email statement. “They were all sourced with love and curated by Jim and Jenny Belushi.”
There are also Mediterranean gardens, lawns, patio areas, a pool, a Jacuzzi and a guest house.
Belushi is best known for his time on Saturday Night Live in the mid-1980s and the sitcom According to Jim, which aired from 2001 to 2009. His representative could not immediately be reached for comment.
The Los Angeles Times first reported the listing.
