A Crafers West home offers enviable views over the sea and a great family lifestyle.
Andrew and Lynwen Maeder are selling the home Andrew’s late parents built in 1969 and, having grown up at the property as a child and lived there as an adult, Mr Maeder says it is indeed a special home.

Is this SA’s best beachfront house?
“It’s been a fantastic family home,” Mr Maeder says. “I enjoyed it as a boy and have probably climbed every tree on the property, and then as a father have watched my children grow up here as well, and they’ve loved it.”
The home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and offers a mix of modern and character features, and distant views over the sea.
“We renovated it in 2002, with the help of Pauline Hurren, and that renovation was extensive,” Mr Maeder says.
“The internal walls are glass and can be folded back to connect the kitchen and living room with the central glass conservatory. Parties can also flow out onto the large northwest-facing balcony, so it can all connect up, and then down on the lower level there’s a pool room, theatre and kitchenette that open out to a courtyard.
“I am really quite excited about handing it on to another family to enjoy, but we will really miss those sea views.”
