Central Coast buyers battle at auction over popular Tumbi Umbi acreage.

A spacious Tumbi Umbi acreage has sold at auction to a local family for $1.685 million, a massive $135,000 over reserve.

The five-bedroom property at 7 Hansens Rd involved four registered bidders with 35 bids in total.

The large home with pool will be perfect for a young family.

Agent Brian Whiteman from The Agency said that people liked how the acreage was on a level block with three generous living areas.

The 1ha property includes a main bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite with spa, a swimming pool and a triple garage plus additional shed.

Surrounded by other quality acreages, the location is just five mins to Mingara sports centre, shops, and the M1 Motorway.

The buyers were a young family from Killarney Vale who battled it out with a Bateau Bay underbidder.

With three of the four registered bidders Coastie’s, Mr Whiteman said that he was seeing a lot of local activity in the market.

“The Tumbi acreage market is flying along — we’ve sold five in the last five months, all for good, high average prices,” he said.

“The location is gold being so close to Forresters Beach.”

The median house price in Tumbi Umbi is $620,000.
