Maraylya acreage with equestrian arena fetches $2.4m
The semirural suburb of Maraylya has just recorded its first sale of the year with an acreage selling for $2.4m.
The five bedroom home at 512 Scheyville Road is set on 2.17ha with entertaining area, pool, spa, and equestrian arena.
According to CoreLogic RP Data, there were 21 sales recorded in Maraylya last year including a record residential sale of $3.55m paid for 42 Neich Road.
Agent Will Hampson from Lumby Hampson Real Estate said it is unusual there hasn’t been any sales recorded in the suburb until now.
“I think it is indicative that properties are taking longer days on market, with most acreages taking four to five months to realise a sale,” he said.
“Maraylya is located close to the Box Hill development land so there is potential in the future and there is also a lot of horse facilities out there — this property also has stables and equestrian area.”
The acreage, which was listed on the market in October last year, also features a gated entry, a dam, fully fenced paddocks and parking for seven vehicles.
The main home has an open plan kitchen with stone kitchens and adjoining family area.
A separate wing has been created as caretaker accommodation.
The property just a three minute drive from the Box Hill Town Centre and a 15 minute drive to railway stations and Rouse Hill Town Centre.
It was purchased by a family moving from development land at Box Hill.
