Adrian Bridges, of LJ Hooker Avnu Neutral Bay, said almost 70 groups had inspected the property in the lead-up to the auction, with more than 10 contracts issued. Some of these inspections have been from buyers agents, representing unknown buyers, he said.

“It’s a very tightly held building,” he said. “A lot of the original owners are still living in the building.”

Auctions are back with a bang this weekend, with more than 40 scheduled across the lower north shore. All but two are set to take place on Saturday.

According to the realestate.com.au site, there are 752 properties for sale on the lower north shore. Of these, only 191 are stand-alone houses.
