We’ll find out tonight who the most in-demand rookies are, but here is a look at the most in-demand suburbs from the competition’s key clubs.

There is a lot to like about North Melbourne including its close proximity to the city and its many parks where Lowson could have a good kick of the footy in his new club’s suburb.
Midfielder Kyle Dunkley is said be on Carlton’s wish list. The 18-year-old brother of Western Bulldog Josh Dunkley has shown impressive form with various clubs plus he’s put in strong performances in the NAB League, VFL and Young Guns games.
Carlton is also in demand with buyers, ranking as the ninth most popular suburb in Victoria out of the 764 suburbs. The median price of a house here is $1,306,000 and the architecture is dominated by double-storey terrace houses with heritage facades.
There’s a lot Dunkley could enjoy about his new club’s HQ including vibrant Lygon street and Carlton Gardens for morning runs before the game.
It’s rumoured that four clubs are interested in signing Eastern Ranges ball-winner Cody Hirst. He was unable to be drafted in 2018 due to injury, but this is his year with Sydney believed to be the frontrunner.
In Sydney, the most in-demand suburb among buyers is Freshwater out of 1,195 suburbs across New South Wales. Houses don’t come cheap in this waterside neighbourhood which has a median sale price of $2,290,000.
However, Hirst’s lifestyle here would be enviable, what with a morning surf at the beach and stops at trendy cafes that are on offer in this prestige suburb.
