New residential sales record set for Kingston Park
It boasted panoramic views, a contemporary design and a luxurious interior – a combination which proved the perfect recipe to smash Kingston Park’s sales record.
The property, at 21C Forrest Ave, was advertised without a price guide and sold well above $2.3 million – surpassing the suburb’s previous sales record of $2.25 million in 2016.

Century 21 Bayside selling agent Pete Angel said he couldn’t disclose the sale price, however he could reveal it sold between $2.3 million to $2.5 million.
“Given it was Finnese built and the architect spent so long getting the property just right, I was truly confident,” he said.
The three-storey home proved popular with buyers, attracting strong interest at the open inspections.
“The first open we did on the Saturday and Sunday we had over 35 groups,” Mr Angel said.
“We had multiple offers in the end, all from owner occupiers.
“The views and the fact it’s north-facing were the biggest drawcards.”
The ground floor featured an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, a generous deck and a powder room. While the second floor had three bedrooms, a family bathroom and a master suite, complete with an ensuite and walk-in robe.
Finally, the third level offered a self-contained studio, or optional fourth bedroom, with a kitchenette, a laundry and a bathroom.
Mr Angel said there was growing demand for properties in tightly-held Kingston Park, given the stunning north-facing aspect.
“I’ve still got a couple up there for sale, the inquiry rate is strong,” he said.
“You’re surrounded by quality homes, a lot of properties are being renovated or rebuilt.
“It’s becoming an affluent type suburb.”
Kingston Park has a median house price of $740,000 and has had 11 properties sold in the past 12 months to June 2019, according to CoreLogic.
