New Ryde development gets to the pointy end of the build
City of Ryde Deputy Mayor Councillor Simon Zhou joined guests at Wednesday’s “topping out” of a new apartment development in Ryde.
Clr Zhou met with the ceo of developer CWG Development, Dr Ying Rao, to celebrate the completion of the top floors of the $80 million Stellar complex, which has an eight-storey and a five-storey tower.
The 96-apartment development with two commercial lots is on the corner of Devlin St (Ryde Rd) and Victoria Rd in Ryde.
CWG is the Australian property division of Shanghai-based conglomerate Chiway Group. Stellar is the fifth project topped out by CWG since the company was established in Australia in 2014.
One of CWG’s other developments Elan in Epping was completed mid-2018.
District and views over the Parramatta River towards the Sydney CBD can be enjoyed from the top of the eight-storey building where the topping out ceremony took place with the raising of a native desert ash tree to mark the occasion.
Clr Zhou said Stellar was set to become a local landmark.
“We believe Stellar will play a major role in defining the suburb of Ryde in the years to come,” Clr Zhou said.
Stellar was designed by SJB architects and Alliance Project Group (APG) are the project builders. It is due for completion in the first quarter of 2020.
Of the 96 apartments in the complex, 40 are for sale.
