race one

READY FOR LOVE

Number 2 $3

Stephen Massingham ‘s new mare is yet to have a start in the Far North but looks a good bet first-up today.

The five-year-old has run in the top three on three occasions from her four first-up runs.

race two

EL OF A SAGA

Number 2 $2.70

The three-year-old chestnut filly has been consistent in her eight career starts, being placed in the first three on six occasions.

El Of A Saga always goes well for stable rider Amanda Thomson, who retains the job this afternoon.

race three

NICK’S NIGHT OUT

Number 10 $31

Nick’s Night Out ran an eye catching race two back at Cairns before the gelding finished well back in the field at Townsville in late July.

The five-year-old is worth an each-way opportunity at big odds.

race four

AGGARWAL

Number 1 $2.70

The Roy Chillemi gelding is on the quick back up from his fourth place finish in a Class 5 last Saturday.

He is back to a Class 4 today with the key booking of Noel Callow making Aggarwal one of the bets of the day.

race five

DROPS OF JUPITER

Number 11 $12

Top-weight Lord Archer looks like the likely winner here but we have gone with some value.

Sharlee D’Avila’s Drops Of Jupiter flew home last start over 1400m and will like the extra 200m today, if the mare can get a start.

race six

POLAR BLAST

Number 4 $3.40

Another on the quick back-up from Saturday, Polar Blast is well placed to make it two carnival wins.

race seven

Space Time

Number 5 $7.50

Janel Ryan’s gelding has a good record over the sprint trip and just missed last start at Townsville.

race eight

Hardern

Number 8 $5.50

Hardern has hardly put a foot wrong since moving to the north and will be in the finish.
