Palatial Gold Coast home built for Malaysian prince on the market
AFFLUENT house hunters looking for a mega-mansion where they can live like royalty are in luck.
A sprawling Helensvale home that was built for a royal family has hit the market.
No expense was spared in the property’s construction and design with soaring ceilings and windows, chandeliers, stone staircases and four fireplaces among its features.
Amir Mian Prestige Property Agents’ Charlon Delos Angeles, who is marketing the residence with Colleen Brunt, would not name the family but said they were from overseas.
“It was actually a prince of Malaysia who commissioned it,” he said.
“He wanted a Gold Coast holiday home and at that time he wanted privacy, that’s why he chose Oyster Cove.
“There are two separate homes on either side and they were both guesthouses.”
While New Zealand residents own the Edgewater Place property today, Mr Delos Angeles said it still resembled a palace.
“It has this palatial feel about it,” he said.
“It’s probably one of the most stunning houses on the Gold Coast. Photos don’t even do it justice.”

Natural stones and rich timbers are on display through the opulent residence while feature lighting, multiple fireplaces and an infinity edge pool overlooking the water add a touch of luxury.
Mr Delos Angeles said the owners were selling the property because they rarely used it.
“It’s just used as a holiday home,” he said.
“They probably use it twice a year for two to three weeks at a time.
“Someone is going to get the buy of the century.”
The buyers are asking for offers of at least $4 million.
