Australia’s only industry-backed real estate listings portal,, is excited to announce its partnership with Landchecker, in what may be one of 2019’s biggest partnerships in real estate.

A prime example of the Australian real estate industry’s move towards being data-driven and tech-oriented, Landchecker enjoyed a round of funding that secured $1.85 million in early 2018 and a strategic partnership with RACV. The startup has quickly become an important resource for consumers and industry, including developers, real estate agents, vendors, and home buyers.

Landchecker provides quick access to information and data on planning zones, planning overlays, permit applications and their status (pending, rejected and approved), sales results, burglary statistics and other important characteristics of any Victorian property.

Developers will be able to utilise Landchecker’s sophisticated search functionality to find suitable properties and land for sale, to instantly see the planning limits and opportunities of a site, and also receive instant on-market alerts of relevant properties as they come on to the market.

Launched in 2001, is one of Australia’s most established real estate platforms, offering visitors access to the latest properties for sale and rent as well as a range of digital tools, including property alerts, home loan quotes, Sales & Auctions results, and and local area information for every address in Australia.

In 2018, Toby Balazs was appointed CEO of after a long career with REA. Since then, he has driven the organisation towards a renewed effort towards being data-driven and to support and work with tech startups within the industry.

The new move by marks a major win for the portal in increasing the visibility of properties it lists for sale and in reaching a sophisticated customer base who have a higher chance of purchasing properties or land for development. It is also a significant move for the portal in its work to represent its agency customer base, expanding their public profile and lead generation beyond the portal’s own website and apps.
