Renovation transformation you have to see to believe
THIS three-bedroom Queenslander in Townsville’s West End is unrecognisable from what it was in 2012.
After a full renovation, owners Tony Dahl and Donna England have decided to put their hard work up for auction in what could be Townsville’s very own version of The Block.

Mr Dahl said it was the location that initially attracted them to the property seven years ago.
“We started the renovation in 2012 and only finished it about six months ago,” Mr Dahl said.
“It was a huge job, virtually the entire inside had to be stripped and relined.
“The deck was a completely new addition as well as the shed and all the concreting around the outside.”
Originally built as a bank, the home includes a functioning safe which is currently used as an office, and makes for a great cyclone shelter.
Mr Dahl said the couples’ intention had been to live in the house for years post-renovation but a change in circumstance has left this near-new home up for grabs at auction.
“It’s a beautiful house, it would be nice to just pick it up and take it with us,” Mr Dahl said. “Whoever buys it is going to have plenty of time to enjoy it.”
The inner city home at 45 Stagpole St is open today at 12.30pm and will go to auction at 1pm.
