Take in the serenity from this luxury home

IT would be hard to find a better vantage point over the Hawkesbury River than from the spectacular outlook on offer at this Sackville North property.

Perched high on the ridge top above the water and surrounded by bushland on a 1.01ha block, the luxury home has some of the suburb’s best district views.

The property could be set to achieve a new price record for the semi rural suburb after being listed with a price guide of $2.3m to $2.5m through Hamish Rogers Realty.

The double storey home is positioned on a 1.01ha property

It is part of a boutique 14-lot residential subdivision called Moss Ridge Estate and is the developer’s own home.

“It is an old house that has been renovated over the past six months from the ground up,” Mr Rogers said.

The property has an incredible vista

“Sitting on the back veranda you can just take in the million dollar views, it has a real peacefulness about it — it’s a property that you’d enjoy coming home to everyday.”

The double brick residence is positioned in the middle of established gardens with hedging and locally sourced sandstone retaining and feature walls. The beautiful stonework has also been used around the wood burning combustion fireplace in the lounge room.

Local sandstone features throughout the property

In total there are four bedrooms — all of which have their own ensuite or access to a bathroom.

Stackable doors off the contemporary style kitchen and family room connects the upper level of the home to the outdoor terrace and alfresco dining area.

On the lower ground floor there is a tiered media room plus additional rumpus, a scullery and spacious wine cellar.

The home has undergone extensive recent renovations

The property, which has been fenced, also includes a new shed and parking for 12 vehicles.

The first open inspection, held last weekend, attracted four couples — three of whom were looking to purchase the property as a high-end weekend retreat.

“It does allow someone to have a country escape and be only an hour from the city,” Mr Rogers said.

Latest figures from CoreLogic RP Data show there were just six sales recorded in Sackville North last year. Among them 238 Mud Island Rd, a four bedroom home set on 4ha which sold for $1.85m.

The smaller acreage record is held by 96 Manning Rd, a 2ha property with three bedroom homestead which sold for $1.95m in June 2017.

A much larger 17.16ha estate with two bedroom original cottage is the most expensive property to have sold in Sackville North after it fetched $2.55m in April 2018.
