Tasteful reno in leafy Warrandyte South location a delight
A tastefully renovated property on 5.3ha has turned heads on the Warrandyte South market.
No. 22 Hillcrest Rd was the state’s seventh most viewed property on realestate.com.au this week, in its first full week on the market.
The five-bedroom home has a price guide of $2.55-$2.75 million, after selling in 2017 for $1.985 million.

Fletchers Warrandyte agent Robin Waterbury said the vendors would be leaving what was meant to be their forever home with “mixed emotions”, having only purchased the home in March of that year.
“They’re moving interstate for business opportunities — otherwise they wouldn’t be selling,” Mr Waterbury said.
“They updated the whole of the inside, they’ve redone the pool as well — it’s fully tiled now.”
Mr Waterbury said the vendors had resisted the urge to build a monster mansion.
“The house itself has been fully modernised or renovated very classily — it’s quite understated, it’s certainly not a McMansion,” Mr Waterbury said.
“It’s got a bit of charm and character to it — you’d struggle to find fault with what they’ve done.”
Mr Waterbury said the “gorgeous setting” was one of the star attractions of the Warrandyte South home, with garden and paddock views from the interior and wraparound veranda.
“You don’t get a lot of turnover in this street, it’s one of those streets where people move in and don’t leave until they’re downsizing,” Mr Waterbury said.
“You really get that element of country living yet proximity to everything.”
With about 20 groups through the property at its first inspection last Saturday, April 27, the property would suit someone looking for a hobby farm or planning to work from home, Mr Waterbury said.
