The best time to sell your house, according to the universe
Clearance rates are rising again, properties are selling well at auction, you’ve read all the tips from real estate experts — but what does the universe have to say about the matter?
Well, if you’re thinking of selling this spring, the stars look set to align for a top result.
That’s the verdict of astrologist and numerologist to the stars Teymara Wright, who has worked with Lionel Richie, read Michael Jackson’s charts and is about to tour The Block’s latest properties.
We asked her when the right time to sell was, really — and if your property is set to hit the market this week, you’re in the cosmic box seat for celestial, and financial, success.

“The best time is always the spring time,” she told the Herald Sun.
This was because numbers studied in numerology were tied in with the energy of nature, which had nine cycles, and spring was when things came into bloom and we started to feel better.
But one month had particular power sellers could harness to get the best price.
“The month of September is a doubling up of the numerological energy of the year,” she said.
“This particular year, we’re in the energy of the number three. So there’s going to be a lot of expansion and a lot more positivity around the month of September.”
The numerological energy always doubled in September, she said, as did the energy of what individuals were going through.
This was because September was the ninth month of the year and that number (nine) was added to the year’s universal number (three). Then, when those two digits were added (one + two) it came back to the universal year’s number (three).
Meanwhile, October’s energy was “going to be a lot more practical this year”, while November would “be a really good month of surprise”.
“I’d be selling it this year in either September or November. They’re really, really good months for sales,” she said.
And being the year of the three, would sellers with that street number be particularly lucky?
“That would go extremely well,” she said.
“But at the same time you can expect some erraticness around that, because it’s like when you’ve got the full on combination of the No. 3 there’s always surprise — surprise is also indicated.
“So if a house is No. 3, if a house is a No. 12, which comes to a three, 21, which comes to a three, 30, anything that comes down to a three when they add it together, then that will apply.”
Ms Wright advised sellers with the No. 3 involved to remain as calm as possible.
She urged all sellers to use scented candles as they were “always just really, really positive”.
It’s also a great year for those born between November 22 and December 21.
“Jupiter is transiting through the sign of Sagittarius, so this is a really great year for Sagittarians to do with a lot of expansion in their life,” she added.
Each person also has their own personal year number, and the No. 8 personal year was best for property.
Deeper analysis of individuals’ years would require a reading of their personal charts, which were made up of 10 houses in astrology, she said.
“But just very, very generally, because September is also the month of Virgo, Virgo is very, very picky, so it means whoever is listing their properties for sale, make sure that it’s in pristine condition,” she said.
“Make sure that the garden is perfect because Virgo — picky, picky, picky, picky, picky — it’s like the energy of the attention to detail.”
