The Block 2019: fan favourites including Josh and Elyse return

The Block contestants will get a big surprise next week as former contestants join the team.

Returning all-stars Ronnie and Georgia, Josh and Elyse, Josh and Jenna, Alisa and Lysandra and Deanne and Darren will throw on the tradie belts for the second, or third in some cases, time on The Block.

The all-stars will be partnered with current contestants to inspire and help them with week five’s guest bedrooms.

They will be able to provide invaluable advice to current contestants Mark and Mitch, Tess and Luke, Matt and El’ise, Andy and Deb and Jesse and Mel.

After winning season 13 in 2017 and taking home a whopping $547,000 for the Elsternwick California bungalow they transformed, the couple now resides in Byron Bay.

They sold their Coburg home for $1.631 million not long after finishing The Block and then went on to buy an investment property in South Melbourne for $1.42 million and an Albert Park pad for $1.35 million.

The WA couple were also contestants on season 13 of The Block.

Their property passed in on a $2.6 million bid but ended up selling for $2.781 million and they took home $161,000.

The couple have continued to be involved in the renovation industry and have an online video series — Quick Room Flips with Ronnie and Georgia.

Josh proposed to Jenna on the night of the auction.


You might remember Josh and Jenna as being the couple that got engaged just before their house went to auction on season four of The Block in 2011.

The Richmond property sold for $1 million and they made $50,000.

Since then, the couple have started their own design business, Bicker, and Jenna is an interior designer, educator and founder of Design School.

They also competed in the All-Stars series in 2013. Their property in that sold for $1.65 million, making them $275,000.

The twins, and former police officers, won season seven, The Block Sky High, in 2013.

Their property sold for $1.435 million, meaning they took home $395,000.

They decided to try their luck again and signed up for season eight Fans v Faves in 2014 and made a whopping $616,000.

The duo left the police force behind and became interior designers and now run The Design Duo online series.

The former Collingwood footballer and wife only made $10,000 on season nine of The Block: Glasshouse.

They went on to compete in the Triple Threat season in 2015 and won.

Their property sold for $2.29 million, and they took home $935,000.

Since then they have been renovating properties across Melbourne.
