The key to surviving your kids on their wildest days
THIS house could be the key to surviving parenthood.
From a soundproofed media room and master bedroom, to an in-built coffee machine, this house has everything you need to survive the wonderful whirlwind that is having children.
Roxana Gruia designed the house at 91 Kavanagh Rd, Wishart, with her young family in mind.
“I’ve built houses in the past, but I wanted this one to be lowset,” Ms Gruia said.
“You just feel more connected when you’re on one level.
“Even though it is a big house, the kids are just there, but you can have separation if you want to.”
The house is on a 687sq m block and has a massive 357sq m of under roof living.
There are five bedrooms, one of which is at the very front of the home and could double as a study.
Two bedrooms share an ensuite and have their own walk-in wardrobes, while a fourth bedroom has both of its own.
There is also a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite with a double vanity and freestanding soaker tub in the master suite.
The house has a family room — which could be used as a playroom — a media room, and an open-plan kitchen, living and dining room.
Off the kitchen is a scullery. There is also a double lockup garage and a separate laundry.
Ms Gruia said the media room and main bedroom both tied for her favourite room of the house.
“We use the media room the most and the master bedroom is nice as well,” she said.
“Both of the rooms are soundproofed, which makes the media room feel a lot more cosy and it makes a difference in terms of noise for the neighbours and the rooms nearby.
“The master bedroom is a nice retreat as it is a good size and it feels luxurious with the floor-to ceiling curtains.”
