Agent Gavin Weekley from Guardian Realty could not reveal the sale price, however, it is believed to be the highest amount paid for home in the suburb during the past 12 months.
The palatial residence is set on a 1468 sqm parcel of land just a short distance from Castle Towers and the new metro station.
It attracted 400 enquiries before selling before its scheduled auction to a local buyer.
“Everyone loved the overall decoration and presentation of the home. The outside entertaining area is incredible too with the basketball court and the pool house — it just has ‘the works’,” Mr Weekley said.
“It is a beautiful home, set on beautiful grounds, with the pool and being close to transport and shopping — so really it has everything going for it.”
The interior features high-end drapes, designer wallpapers with other finishes such as marble and roasted peat hardwood floors giving the opulent home a five-star vibe.
Mr Weekley believes it is also one of the most technologically advanced properties in the Hills region. Almost everything inside can be controlled remotely.
Lamps in the upstairs sitting area speak via a computer to the Bureau of Meteorology, so they know when it is sunset and can switch on and off at a designated time.
The Hamptons style kitchen features a double freestanding cooktop, display cabinets and stone counters. A goods lift from the garage transports groceries straight into the butler’s pantry.
A second kitchen is located in the entertainment pavilion outside; while there is also a barbecue in the alfresco area overlooking the gas heated spa and pool.
Other lifestyle features include the tiered purpose built home cinema room.
It is believed the vendors are now planning on moving to acreage.
According to CoreLogic RP Data, the most expensive home to sell in Castle Hill is 14 Banks Rd which fetched $4.8m in April 2017.
