THIS updated Queenslander is full of character and charm with timber floors, high ornate ceilings, picture rails and casement windows.

Owners Daniel Kis and Milica Smiljanic bought the property at 7 Dawson St, Yeerongpilly in 2007 and have called it home with their two sons.

“It was pretty much in original condition when we bought it,” Mr Kis said.

The updated kitchen features a modern colour scheme and stainless steel appliances. Picture: Supplied.

“We renovated all the (internal) space and put a pool in the back garden.”

Mr Kis said the pool area was the highlight of the property.

“Our two boys are six and 10 and they just love it. In summer they spend most of their time in the pool or the backyard,” he said.

Inside, the Queenslander has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, three bedrooms, a family bathroom and a study.

The modern kitchen has an island bench, granite benchtop and stainless steel appliances.

Downstairs there is a second bathroom, tandem parking for two cars, a laundry, storage space and a patio.

The home is on a 526sq m block walking distance to schools and public transport, and close to the new Yeerongpilly Green development.

The property is on the market through Jane Elvin of LJ Hooker Annerley Yeronga.
