Verdant St Kilda dream home for sale for second time in 100 years
A grand Victorian house covered in lush vines is set to sell for only the second time in its century-long history.
The huge St Kilda residence at 15 Robe St is on the market for $4.9-$5.35 million. It would be the most expensive sale in the suburb so far this year, CoreLogic records show.
Marshall White St Kilda agent Oliver Bruce said the Victorian house had Arts and Crafts-era style added when it was extended upstairs in the 1920s.

“There are some fantastic yet contrasting period features throughout,” Mr Bruce said.
“It’s a large corner allotment of 856sq m, surrounded by very private gardens and it has incredible street appeal.”
The five-bedroom house was transformed by renowned architect David Goss after the property sold for the first time for $2.39 million in 2011.
It has a leafy outdoor entertainment area, with a terrace surrounded by vines and smaller patios found by the lawn and mosaic-tiled heated pool.
The interiors have been injected with colour and stylish modern features.
Natural light lavishes the contemporary kitchen that flows into a casual dining space on sophisticated Baltic pine floorboards.
There are multiple zoned living areas warmed by fireplaces, used as striking sitting rooms, a games area, a study and gym. A second kitchen makes the ground floor self-contained and there are two garages that can fit up to five cars.
The huge block is just a stroll away from the beach.
