Harcourts Williams selling agent Paul McWilliam said he had already received an offer before the property had even held its first open inspection.
“I think with the interest we’ve had so far, we’d be surprised if it’s not gone by this week,” he said.
“It’s a small allotment on a community title and that’s the key factor keeping the price down, plus the house does need quite a bit of work.”
Mr McWilliam said the property would be ideal for keen renovators looking to make their mark on a home.
“You could live-in it and renovate, depending on what level of comfort you want,” he said.
“Fundamentally, there’s no massive cracks or floorboard lifting. It’s just polishing the floorboards, painting would make a massive difference too – but the big ticket items are the kitchen and bathroom.”
Mr McWilliam said first homebuyers and investors were showing the greatest interest in the home, which was not surprising given the affordable entry point.
“If you want to get into the property market, it’s probably quite comparable to renting and it’s an alternative to owning a unit,” he said.
“(Enfield) is an up and coming suburb, the properties we’ve sold have always sold really well and it’s got really good access to the city and facilities.
“Plus the fact you’ve got Lightsview nearby as well, if people can’t get into there Enfield is a great option.”
